Chat settings

Open a conversation and choose Chat Settings from its toolbar. The settings are organized into Models and Integrations.

  1. Open Chat Settings → Models.
  2. Enter a System Prompt, such as “Help me practice Spanish. Explain corrections in English and keep examples short.”
  3. Return to the conversation and send your next message.

The prompt is sent with future messages in this conversation. Editing it does not rewrite earlier answers or apply it to every other chat.

Chat settings showing Render Tool Calls and System Prompt

Render Tool Calls controls whether tool calls appear in this conversation’s message list. Turn it on when you want to inspect what an integration did.

The Integrations tab lists the integrations configured in app Settings. Enable only those useful for the conversation. Changes apply to future requests.

Add or remove integration IDs in Settings → Integrations; the per-chat screen selects from that list. See Integrations for the server-side setup required before an entry can work.

The Models tab also shows loaded-model details, such as format, capabilities, context limits, and instances when the server reports them. Use its refresh control after changing models on the host.

To select another chat model, use the model picker. The context indicator beside the composer provides current context usage and the reasoning-generation control.
